Crater Lake Oregon - Southern Oregon Attractions

Crater Lake is the biggest tourist attraction in Southern Oregon.

Crater Lake is North America's deepest lake, about a mile deep and 6 miles by 7 miles on the surface. Crater Lake is located in the collapsed crater of a dormant volcano. The crater rim is 7,000 feet high.
Crater Lake is Oregon's only national park, and a real show stopper. Don't miss it.

In the summer, take I-5 to Roseburg, then 138 along the North Umpqua river.
Be sure to stop at Toketee Falls, the second highest falls in Oregon.

In the winter only the South entrance from Klamath Falls is open, though you might be able to ski or snowmobile in from Diamond Lake. It depends on the snowpack.
